FORTY FORT - iNTRODUCTIONHi Everyone: Welcome to Forty Fort Films. Forty Fort Films is a South Florida-based film production company which takes its name from Forty Fort, Pennsylvania, the small borough where my family owned and operated the Forty Fort Theatre. As company founder, I wanted to pay homage to not only the town, but my grandfather, Thomas Alexander, his business partner and brother-in-law, Louis Marinos - both among the very first cinema pioneers in the state - and my father and his brothers. As you might imagine, growing up in a movie house was very special. On this site you’ll be able to access historical information about not only the Forty Fort Theatre, but the Alexander family’s eighty year history in the cinema industry of Northeastern Pennsylvania, including movie theaters in Kingston, Luzerne, Wyoming, Edwardsville, Parsons, Exeter, and Dallas.
